Charles Stack (bishop)

Stack was born into an ecclesiastical family〔His father was the Reverend Edward Stack, “Who was Who” 1897-2007, London, A & C Black, 2007, ISBN 978-0-19-954087-7; his son and grandson were also Church of Ireland clergy > The Times, 29 July 1985; pg. 12; Issue 62202; col G ''Very Rev C. M. Gray-Stack''〕 and educated at Trinity College, Dublin.〔The Standard (London, England), Tuesday, November 22, 1853; pg. (); Issue 9139〕 He was Vicar of Lack, County Fermanagh from 1851 to 1877 when he became the Archdeacon of Clogher. He was appointed Bishop of Clogher in 1886〔The Belfast News-Letter (Belfast, Ireland), Thursday, October 28, 1886; Issue 22259〕 and served the diocese for 16 years.
